If it's for a day trip, you have to go to Nämforsen. Nämforsen is a waterfall located in the village of Näsåker with a total drop of 22 meters. The waterfall is more visible in summer than in winter, and is surrounded by a dense forest that invites any passerby to a day of wilderness hiking. You will also find the history of the first settlements after the disappearance of the ice cap: the Nämforsen engravings which are the largest engraving site in Sweden and the second largest in Europe. There are 2,595 preserved engravings, the oldest of which are supposed to be 6,000 years old.
