This small seaside resort of about 350 inhabitants is located 8 km north of Cabo Polonio, separated from the latter by a huge sand dune line and then by the river Arroyo Valizas. Residential and rather hippy, it does not know a great animation. An artisanal fair welcomes every day casual jugglers, modest craftsmen and restaurateurs who come to bring life to the relaxed atmosphere of the village. Meditation and yoga classes and retreats are held daily. Finally, due to the shortage of housing in Cabo, Barra de Valizas has seen a lot of development in recent years.
