Travel Guide Făget

Făget lies on the railroad line linking Lugoj to Ilia and Deva. This small town boasts the ruins of a 16th-century fortress. In the surrounding villages, you can see some pretty wooden churches: Bătești (16th century), Jupânești (18th century), Povârgina (18th century). The region at the foot of the Poiana Ruscă mountains is known as a developed rural tourism destination. The villages of Margina, Românești and Pietroasa are home to many (around 20) simple guesthouses. In Tomești, campers can sleep in the friendly Valea lui Liman. The village of Românești is famous for its cave.
