This mountain resort, in the heart of the massif of the same name, lies some twenty kilometers southeast of Caransebeș. On the way, you'll pass through the village of Turnu Ruieni, where stands a defense tower that was part of the Banat medieval fortification system. You then pass through the picturesque village of Borlova and arrive at Muntele Mic, a charming resort surrounded by original relief. In winter, you can ski on the resort's seven slopes. On sunny days, there are plenty of opportunities for short or multi-day hikes to the Țarcu and Retezat mountains. A good map is recommended.
