This kibbutz was founded in 1957. It is the oldest, largest and most prosperous kibbutzim in the Eilot Regional Council. Today, its 600 kibbutznikims cultivate fruits (mangoes, dates…) and vegetables, and produce over 60% of Israeli dairy products. There is a restaurant and a shop selling local products. Yotvata enjoys the tourist attraction of the Hai-Bar reserve, a few kilometers south.
