This is undoubtedly the most beautiful white-sand beach in Korea, set against a backdrop of mountains and pine trees. It's part of the provincial park that bears its name and encompasses several coastal beaches. It's crowded in summer, making early autumn the best time to enjoy it. At the far end on the left is a small rocky bay with a beautiful seabed. Further up is the pretty beach of Seorak, with hotels and restaurants, but unfortunately too close to the road. You can get there by bus from Sokcho, taking the 9-1 towards Yangyang and telling the driver your destination.
