A small village situated on a crossroads at an altitude of 337 m from the Gornje hill Dragačevo. In the central part of the village of about 3,700 inhabitants the river Bjelica flows quietly. He is mentioned in the Turkish census in 1476 and entered in the land register under the name of Kadiluk Brvenik, under the regime of Prince Paul. There were only 14 houses then. Guca's real name was used in 1831 when the church was built, then it became a small town around 1892. The origin of the name Guca is linked to two legends: one, coming from the Turkish name meaning "withdrawn, hidden", the other claims that Guca is of Italian origin: gucci evokes the cooing of pigeons.
