Playa Esterillos is one of the beautiful gray sand beaches that can be found on the road between Jacó and Quepos. It can be reached from the municipalities of Esterillos Oeste, Esterillos Centro and Esterillos Este. Playa Esterillos is 7 kilometers long and is bordered by tropical forest. Esterillos East is one of the well kept secrets of the area, where one comes to rent luxurious beachfront villas, often with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Nicoya. It is also an excellent surfing spot. Esterillos West is a wild but quite touristy beach, known for its famous sculpture of La Sirena, which stands at high tide, right in the ocean
