Playa San Miguel is considered one of the most paradisiacal beaches of Costa Rica. Still not very developed, it is surely the wildest of the peninsula, because it is the furthest from the paved roads. An estuary and a mangrove of the Jabillo River separate Playa San Miguel from Playa Coyote, the neighboring beach, lost in the middle of nowhere and lined with palm trees. It is possible to rent kayaks to go in search of crocodiles, contact Casa Caletas after the beach of Coyote. Those who don't want to go on such an adventure can learn to surf, do yoga or go horseback riding with one of the local Ticos
