The beautiful town of Abano boasts the largest spa town in the world, internationally renowned for its fango-balneotherapy. Abano has been visited since antiquity and was favored by the notables of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Its secret lies in the meteoric water, which is the basis of the maturation, conservation and regeneration process of a mud with therapeutic properties. From the basins of the Pre-Alps at an altitude of 2,000 m, the water follows an underground path where it is soaked in minerals, before bubbling up again at a temperature of 87 °C. Today, the curative properties of the mud are guaranteed by regular studies and controls
