This small village on Lake Lagen combines two points of interest: the Hunderfossen family park and the Route Museum. The village's name comes from the eponymous parish, which originally stood here and was also a farm. Fágaberg in the beginning, linguists couldn't say what the prefix fag meant, but Berg means mountain, rock, mount in Old Norse. It's pretty green all around - as is the case almost everywhere in Norway - and if you're in Lillehammer, it's not really a big detour. But we go there especially for the easy Fåberg-Drotten walk to see the sumptuous petroglyphs!
