Famous for its beautiful views, its multiple hiking options and its architectural remains, the small town of Parada del Sil is full of natural and cultural treasures. By choosing this small town you will be able to easily travel around and discover the richness of the region. Its history begins with the Romanesque monastery of Santa Cristina de Ribas de Sil, one of the most important monasteries of the Ribeira Sacra in the Middle Ages. Today, there is a hiking route of 18 km approved PR-G 98. Most of it follows the old cart paths and you can see granaries and mills.
