Pulau Subar Darat and Pulau Subar Laut, two small islands to the south of Singapore, are better known as the Sisters' Islands. True havens of peace, they are ideal for picnicking on the beach, swimming and snorkeling. Unfortunately, it's no longer possible to pitch a tent on the island, and you can't stay for more than a day. In short, your peace and quiet will only be disturbed by the island's inhabitants: the monkeys. Don't leave your bags lying around, as they'll be rummaging through them! A very pleasant and relaxing getaway. The Sisters' Islands are only accessible by private boat, which can be hired from Marina South Pier, so tourist numbers are limited.
