Pulau Tekong is used as a training ground for military, so nature is omnipresent. A major commercial island in the past, it served as a relay between Johor and Pulau Ubin for the transfer of goods. Many legends of ghosts are associated with Pulau Tekong, it is said that they prowl in the island, could it be one of the reasons for its desertion?
