Ermelo is known for its vast production of oranges by the river, which forms a beautiful landscape.The former Cistercian monastery in Romanesque style is also to be visited. It was abandoned shortly after its construction and was transformed into a parish church in 1560. Today you can see the ruins of the nave and cloister.
