A former industrial city, the town was transformed in the 20th century with the arrival of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Arts, a space dedicated to the original creations of artists from the region and around the world. The Mass MoCA (as it's known locally) is THE must-see museum in the Berkshires, and not to be missed if you're in the area. North Adams is a small town surrounded by nature, charming in all seasons.
