40 km northeast of Peterborough is the Petroglyphs Provincial Park. With mystery, it refers us in time worthy of Lascaux… or almost! In 1953, two geologists, seeking to break the enigma of an underground river, discovered 900 illustrations of all aspects of life, one of the largest petroglyphs in North America. A brand new interpretation centre sheds light on the spiritual aspect of these ciselures. On request, you can view a 20-minute documentary.
