Located 65 kilometers southeast of Charlottetown, this pretty fishing village is named after the fish that frequent its waters. It is the ideal place for fishing, mountain biking and hiking, and is also the gateway to Panmure Island Provincial Park with its beautiful sandy beach (camping available on site). Every year in August, the Abegweit Pow Wow of the Mi'kmaq Nation (also called Micmac) takes place there. Finally, you should not miss the lighthouse of Panmure Island, the oldest wooden lighthouse on the island. You can climb to the top for a few dollars.
