Located about 140 km northeast of Tchibanga, the village of Doussala was founded in the 1800s by a couple from the Congo, belonging to the Punu ethnic group. It is known to have been the headquarters of the Compagnie Equatoriale des Bois du Gabon (CEB) from 1962 to 1989, which carried out extensive logging operations. Today, Doussala has only about thirty inhabitants, most of whom work for the association PROGRAM, which works to protect the great apes of Moukalaba, while developing activities related to ecotourism. From here you can organize your visit to the park of Moukalaba-Doudou
