Pointe Denis, on the other side of the Estuary, the village of the famous King Denis, has become a favourite spot for Libreville's notables, expatriates and Gabonese at the weekend. Often owners of huts, but also quads and sea scooters, they go for a ride in the lagoon behind the beach. La Pointe, as it is familiarly called, has seen the growth of a few hotels and restaurants and offers the possibility of staying at the edge of clear water. While remaining very close to the capital, its seaside atmosphere gives it an air of holiday. You can get there by shuttle bus from either Port Môle or Michel Marine
