A typical Prince Edward County village. For more than a century, sawmills, gristmills and carding mills have been the hallmarks of this hamlet. To preserve this important piece of local history, the local conservation authority acquired one of the oldest mills in the area with its property, dam and pond in 1975. The area is known as the Mill Pond Conservation Area. There are also three wineries in Milford, Exultet Estates, Lighthall Vineyards and Long Dog Vineyard & Winery.
