It is a small village located only 6 km from Cobán. Every day, buses leave from the terminal and connect the village in about 20 minutes. As in San Juan Chamelco, the road is still paved, which makes it slippery in rainy weather. In addition to the charm of many mountain villages, San Pedro Carchá is famous for its tradition of working with money. There are many specialized shops and artisan workshops where jewellery and small religious objects are made.
