Far from the authenticity of Sololá, the small kaqchikel village that used to be Panajachel - or "Pana" - has become one of the most important tourist points in Guatemala. The reason for this is its geographical location, which makes it the gateway to the Atitlan Lake, only a hundred kilometers from the capital. This makes it a convenient stopover to discover the surrounding villages. On the other hand, if it does not present any charm, saturated of agencies, offices of excursions and stands of souvenirs, the city enjoys a breathtaking panorama, installed in front of the majestic volcanoes Tolimán, Atitlán and San Pedro. The sunsets are spectacular.
