Situated at the foot of Mount Urriellu, Cabrales, a village of some 2,000 people, offers a magnificent panorama. Here, there are no monuments to visit, but an idyllic setting to enjoy, as well as a delicious cheese, quite strong in taste. Las Arenas de Cabrales is one of the gateways to the peaks of Europe. There you will see a huge gorge, following the course of the Sella River, which gives birth to the Los Beyos Parade. Here, the road winds its way through huge boulders of limestone and fine waterfalls (watch out for falling rocks!). Very steep, but wide enough to let the sun penetrate, it is one of the most beautiful parades in Europe!
