Mount Ishizuchi-san (Mount of the Stone Hammer) is the highest mountain in Shikoku and reaches a height of 1982 m. It is one of the seven spiritual mountains of Japan. It is one of the seven spiritual mountains of Japan. The climb is usually done from Saijō. Take the Yosan line from JR Iyo Saijō Station and get off at the Nishi-no-kawa cable car station. This route allows you to explore the beautiful Omogo-kei Gorge. You can also take a full tour of the Nishi-no-kawa River, reach the top and return via Tsuchigoya. In summer, it is better to make the ascent in trousers and good shoes (sometimes you can meet mosquitoes, wasps and snakes).
