These two localities, very close to each other, are generally known as Akasaka-Goyu (because of the large number of Akasaka in Japan, including that of Tokyo...). They are visited together, and one comes especially to discover some old houses. In the Edo period, Akasaka was the thirty-sixth of the fifty-three stations scattered along the mythical Tōkaidō route. Goyu, 1.7 kilometers away, was the previous station. To get there, take the Meitetsu-Nagoya line to Goyu or Meiden-Akasaka.
