An industrial and commercial center overlooking the Gulf of Gioia Tauro, Palmi was completely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1908. The appeal of this town lies mainly in its location. From the gardens of Villa Comunale Mazzini, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Calabrian coast and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Palmi is also an important seaside resort, with a small pebble beach, Marina di Palmi, below the town, while to the north there is the long sandy beach della Tonnara, guarded by two large rocks (Ulivarella and Ulivo), as well as the marina of Palmi.
