Morano Calabro and Mormanno are about fifteen kilometres from each other, with very picturesque landscapes, and can be reached by climbing the first hills of the upper Lao valley. Mormanno does not have the same appeal as Morano. Built in a more spread out manner, less crowded than its neighbour, this village is however not without interest. With its empty streets, abandoned houses and religious buildings that are no less so, it retains a slightly veiled charm. And don't forget to stop by the bar in the central square, where they offer you (in summer) a delicious drink, the cappuccino granita. Finally, Mormanno is a good starting point for excursions in the Pollino.
