Located at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters, this lagoon is the largest natural body of water in Colombia (11.8 km long and 6.2 km wide). It is also the second highest navigable lake in South America, after Lake Titicaca in Bolivia. By climbing the surrounding hills, one can enjoy a magnificent view of the lake and its islands. Playa Blanca, south of the lake, is a beautiful white sand beach that attracts families on weekends. With its turquoise blue water, it's almost like being in the Caribbean!
