It is a charming mountain village on the road to Goy-Gol Lake. Founded in 1819, it was almost exclusively populated by German migrants. A th century Lutheran church testifies to the atypical history of Khanlar. Its small wooden houses are aligned on both sides of narrow streets opening up on the sometimes snowy summits of the Petit Caucasus.
