Another beautiful Styrian lake and the largest of the Styrian lakes! To the east of the Altaussee, from which it is separated by the Trisselwand mountain, the Grundlsee does not lack charm. Its banks are bordered by a pleasantly laid-out path, making it an inviting place to go for a walk, especially on the part of the lake where the road does not pass, i.e. the southern shore between Hinterau and Wienern. On the shores of this lake, the pretty Grundlsee resort of the same name, with its many tourist facilities, is a popular stopover. Here you can stay, enjoy yourself and take part in water sports.
