Travel Guide Lavant

This village, located 9 km east of Lienz, is worth a short trip for its rich religious heritage and beautiful natural surroundings. You will discover the ruins of an ancient episcopal church from the5th century, located at the foot of the mountain, as well as a fortified structure, which was probably the bishop's residence. You can visit the parish church of St. Ulrich, a place of pilgrimage, with a very pointed bell tower and a pinkish facade and a richly endowed baroque interior in very good condition. Finally, you will discover the church of Saints Peter and Paul, in late Gothic style (1485).
