Travel Guide Galafi

Galafi is a border post, located in the Dikhil region, on the RN1. This post was opened in 1991, after the fall of the Ethiopian military regime, to link the two countries. The RN1 is Djibouti's most vital road, 219 km long, linking the capital to Galafi. The road traffic is intense, the animation perpetual, the restaurants and various businesses numerous, one observes queues of trucks overloaded in a direction, empty in the other. Those who continue their journey towards Ethiopia will not find, in principle, any transport crossing the border. They will have to cross the border on foot and then find transport on the other side.
