The queer alternative to the famous Notting Hill Carnival, this festival, founded in 2006, continues to attract more and more people every year. While black lesbian and bisexual women are behind the event, it's open to everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. NEW YEAR'S EVE CELEBRATION

To celebrate the end of the year, thousands of revelers gather in Trafalgar Square, swaying arm in arm, singing Auld Lang Syne ("It's only goodbye, brothers"). Despite the hustle and bustle, the presence of drunks and pickpockets, and the occasional brawl, the event continues to draw large crowds. A fireworks display and the Big Ben carillon, magnificently restored after extensive renovation work, are also on the program.
