London's Chinese New Year celebrations are among the most important in the world after Asia.

In Chinatown, around Gerrard Street and Newport Place, and in Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square. An exuberant celebration, with fireworks, colorful parades of animals and dragons, Chinese cultural events and culinary discoveries, that always draws the crowds. Note that 2024 is the year of the wooden dragon. London's Chinese New Year celebrations are among the biggest in the world after Asia. After the parade, the festivities continue in Trafalgar Square, with traditional dances and martial arts demonstrations.
