Apart from the large motorway links, on the bay which bears its name on the shores of the Baltic, Nysted is a relaxing stop, close to a small wood and especially the oldest castle still inhabited by the kingdom. Faced with Germany, it is a bit of a cul-de-sac. You can take a stop to it in order to Copenhagen or leave the ferry in Rødbyhavn. If you take the tour of Falster and Lolland, you can then go to the Seeland via the E 47 motorway, or by road 153, then 22, after Vordingborg. The two routes go through beautiful bridges that rise majestically over the sea.
