This pretty little mountain village, at almost 1,000 metres above sea level, appears to be embedded in a high plateau of the Cindrel Mountains. Outside of time, it is known for its many sheep farmers. In May, the flocks move up to the mountains, taking over the beautiful flowery meadows. There is no lack of possibilities for hiking. You will discover an enchanting mountainous landscape, populated by shepherds' huts. The village itself has beautiful wooden houses, one of which dates back to 1760, and can be reached either by road 106 G, past the charming Roma village of Dobarca, or from Săliște by road 106 E, which winds through the mountains.
