Travel Guide Gili Trawangan

It is paradise off Bali, near the island of Lombok. Gili Trawangan is reached by fast boat from Pamenang (Lombok). We are talking about the Gili islands, but the term is inappropriate since gili already means "small island" in sasak, the language of Lombok. Gili Trawangan is one of the three main islands of this destination in the middle of about twenty other very small ones. There is Gili Air, the closest to Lombok, then Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan, the largest of the three. Gili Air invites you to enjoy the beach in a quiet corner under the gentle ocean breeze and beautiful lively evenings. Families enjoy exploring Gili Air in a horse-drawn carriage. Gili Meno with its pristine beaches, wild bungalows or luxury resorts, is the destination for honeymooners. Finally, Gili Trawangan, Gili T for regulars, is the relaxed island where you can live on the beach with evenings and nights in the moonlight.
