The cuisine of Les Jardins de la Médina is fine, tasty and elaborate. Offering a French gastronomy mixed with Moroccan influences, the restaurant has a good reputation in Marrakech. The setting is splendid: in an immense garden patio with trees by the pool. Also a beautiful wine cellar and good digestives. To note: the Gardens of the Medina propose evenings with topics (the "Musical Thursdays" and the "Magic Sundays"), as well as a space wellbeing with hammam, massage and other services.

Mike Richardson, the proud owner, offers a warm and inviting space that combines his two passions, cooking and artistic practice, with a view to promoting Moroccan culture. Here, the art of cooking blends with the art of storytelling and Gnawa music. No, it's not a dinner show, it's above all a cultural and artistic space based on exchange and encounter. On the menu, an eclectic menu featuring a camel meat burger, jam sessions, traditional storytelling and exhibitions.

Two menus to choose from: Moroccan with a crispy pastilla or traditional Tangia marrakchia, or international with Saint-Pierre en habit d'or, to name but a few. The wide-ranging menu changes regularly to provide ever-renewed pleasure.

A marvel of Moroccan architecture, the Palais Soleiman dazzles with its zelliges, its stucco lace, its lounges all in velvet and trimmings, its colours, a delight for the eyes, but also for the taste buds. The room is packed, at any time of the day, in this neighbourhood boui-boutique with the smell of a barbecue full of regulars. It's a sure sign. The seasoned waiters twirl around efficiently and if you want to taste the specialty of Marrakech, namely the succulent pigeon pastilla, you have to order it 6 hours in advance. But at Oscar's, on a daily basis, meat lovers will be delighted by the steaming skewers, the mechoui and above all the offal that the locals are so fond of... What's more, the prices are unbeatable.

The Italian owner has invested this riad in the north of the medina to offer an Italian cuisine that meets our expectations: antipasti, old-fashioned pasta, eggplant alla griglia orinsalata caprese... However, the menu of the day, served only for lunch, leaves you the choice between Moroccan cuisine (with original tajines, such as the chicken, orange and apricot tagine) and Italian cuisine. So, if in the middle of the medina you feel a sudden urge to throw yourself on a tiramisuin the shade of the lemon trees, this is the place to be.

A decor halfway between a New York loft and a Parisian brasserie, with brick walls lined with banquettes, a relaxed atmosphere and simple French cuisine: Le Loft is one of those Marrakch addresses where people come again and again to enjoy market cuisine that changes daily, or simply to drink a coffee at the counter. On the menu are traditional "made in France" dishes such as duck confit, grilled fillet of beef and shepherd's pie, all very popular with French expats.

One must admit that the big asset of this restaurant remains its panoramic terrace with a view of the Moulay el Yazid mosque and the Saadian Tombs. The Café Majorelle has the merit of its setting: the lush garden. To enjoy the poetry of the place, a stopover is welcome. Pêle-mêle, the original milk with orange blossom or beldi lemonade. It is also possible to have lunch on site. The menu is rather tempting, from carrot soup with sardines and chermoula to club sandwich or quinoa salad. The prices, however, are not too exotic for European tourists. All the more so as to access this charming oasis, you will have to pay the entrance fees to the garden.

A ^17th-century jewel restored to its original glory, this symbol of gastronomic dining par excellence almost merits a double Unesco listing.
