Open - from 01h00 to 01h00

L'Épicurien prepares its great house specialty in a beautiful, airy space: Breton-style crêpes and galettes, with sweet and savoury versions as varied as they are delicious. It also prepares viennoiseries and pastries to the highest standards (croissants and pains au chocolat deserve a special mention), not to mention delicious home-cooked dishes, including fresh pasta made on the premises. Every day, L'Épicurien offers a brunch menu including American and healthy breakfasts, eggs Benedict and tutti quanti.

LE PIED BLEU

Bouchon lyonnais €€
5/5
1 review

Le Pied Bleu is a charcuterie and bouchon Québécois inspired by Lyon. We recommend "le tour de tripes", a 14-course sharing menu, and the tasty homemade cheeses. A playful and convivial cuisine, the slate features offal, meat and fish, not forgetting the famous boudin, worthy of an AOC, which has won five medals in Mortagne-au-Perche, France. Also well worth a visit are the bar's home-made charcuterie (to take away or enjoy on the premises), and its "cabanes d'automne" (autumn cabins), which are being set up in various locations across Quebec.

CRÊPERIE-BISTRO LE BILLIG

Crperie

For many, Le Billig would serve the best buckwheat and wheat pancakes in town. It is even possible to make your own cake by combining the ingredients of your choice. Cider bowls, morning brunch and bistro dishes are also on offer. Also take a look at the Billig Sports Troquet, which broadcasts European soccer and sports matches, hockey, etc. This part remains open until midnight every night.

LE PETIT CHÂTEAU

Sweet or savoury, pancakes are always welcome at any time of the day in this small local area, housed in the Château Frontenac. Attablé around cute small tables, you can take a well-deserved break, especially after having walked all day in Old Quebec. Our suggestion: Around 16 h, the chocolate crepe, a delight. Of course, the selection of traditional fondue, the delicious chestnuts and gargantuan breakfasts are also to be discovered.

AU PETIT COIN BRETON

Crperie

In a rather traditional setting, the waitresses in Breton costume welcome you to eat... pancakes! You have the choice: Breton pancakes with wheat or buckwheat, all accompanied according to your taste (ham, chicken, cheese, eggs, asparagus, etc.), or seafood (shrimps, crab, smoked salmon), vegetarian, not to mention the decadent dessert pancakes (mention in the gourmet versions). So if you feel like it, you'll be spoilt for choice here. Also worth a try: the tasty gratins and the Breton duo (crepe and salad).

LE PARLEMENTAIRE

Regional cuisine restaurant

The restaurant of the National Assembly of Québec has been open to the public for over 50 years. Here is an opportunity to eat at the same tables as the politicians, in a new decor that was unveiled at its grand reopening in the fall of 2021. The waiters don't gossip, but there are occasional anecdotes. On the menu, Quebec is in the spotlight, all for a very affordable price. During the summer, the chefs concoct their dishes based on the harvests of the gardens and beehives of the Parliament Building.

ALENTOURS

Regional cuisine restaurant €€€

Nothing less than an eco-responsible gastronomic experience in a minimalist setting. Chef Tim Moroney, who has worked in some of the world's most renowned restaurants, focuses on renewable energy, responsible waste management and ethical practices, not to mention sourcing from within a 150 km radius of the restaurant. The resolutely locavore menu changes frequently according to what's available and what's in season. An à la carte menu is also available, but only at the bar.

PETITS CREUX

For those nostalgic for the Isle of Beauty (read Corsica), this is the place to be. Island beers, liqueurs, eaux-de-vie and wines feature prominently on the menu, while the chef's menu will also transport you to Corsica with a number of imported products. We recommend the tasting boards (charcuterie and cheese, fish, Mediterranean, gueuleton), braised veal ravioli, oysters and octopus, not forgetting "Les douceurs de Marie-Pierre", a trio of sweet delights to crown the meal.
