Corral is the main port of Valdivia and has a lot of historical and cultural heritage. The secluded coves and wild beaches of the bay are teeming with gunpowder cannons, massive fortifications and a very informative collection of the way of life of the Spanish soldiers of the time. Built by the Spaniards to protect the town of Valdivia from outside attacks, Corral Fort is another relic of the past for the tormented month of Corral Bay. To get there, there is a ferry connection for vehicles between Corral and Niebla (20 minutes drive). You can also access it from the Isle of Mancera.
