Originally named by the Mapuche Guiguacabín, the island is now named after the Spanish Viceroy of Peru, Pedro de Toledao, first Marquis of Mancera, who ordered the fortification of the island in 1645. Beyond the visit of the Castillo San Pedro de Alcántara, classified as a National Monument, a superb path goes around the island in 1 hour, a recommended walk, in a green universe where fishermen live at a natural and human rhythm. To set off again, all you have to do is go back to the pier and wait for another boat that makes the connection between Niebla and Corral. Please note that the stop in Mancera is not obligatory, so it is necessary to inform the person giving the ticket.
