This religious edifice, the construction of which was launched by King Mohammed VI, then Crown Prince, was inaugurated in 1983. A jewel of traditional Moroccan architecture, the mosque can be seen from afar thanks to its superb minaret overlooking the city. This small palace with singular appearance has a particular history. Located on the right of the Al-Kortobi Hospital and the Menebhi Palace, it was built by Mr. Benghayat, a Jewish businessman from Tangiers who wanted to have a residence resembling the Seville mosque. CITY TOUR TANGER

Guided bus and train tours

The Tangier City Tour is an open-top, double-decker bus excursion offering two itineraries. The first tour takes in the city's landmarks, from the Place du 9 avril to the Punic-Roman necropolises overlooking the bay to the Villa Harris. The second tour takes you to the outskirts of Tangier.
