The oldest pastry shop in the city. We go for the atmosphere, hot chocolate or their many cakes.

Founded in 1829, this is one of Baixa's oldest patisseries, run by the Baltazar Roiz Castanheiro family for five generations now. This institution has retained the charm of an old-fashioned tearoom. The decor is enchanting, with its white-lacquered curves, frescoes and painted ceilings! Memorable hot chocolate... And then, what a multitude of excellent pastries and delicate dry cakes. Not forgetting the real Bolo Rei, the recipe for which was imported from Paris by Baltazar Castanheiro Júnior at the end of the 19th century.

Lieu authentique et agréable où il faut aller prendre un petit déjeuner. Prévoir d'arriver à l'ouverture pour avoir une place et tester une autre pâtisserie typique que les pasteis de nata.

Une pâtisserie fréquentée aussi bien par les touristes que par les locaux: dégustation traditionnelle au comptoir ou en salle. Les bolos et pasteis sont corrects mais j'ai préféré ceux de la pasteleria de Belem (choix très personnel) mais à tester!

quel bel endroit....on y entre même juste pour réaliser quelques photos, mais ce serait dommage de ne pas goûter quelque patisseries proposées. Bon, comme précisé par ailleurs, les Pasteis de Nata pas mal, mais n'égalent pas ceux découverts à Belem auparavant....

Ancienne pâtisserie située près de la place de Figueiras. Elle est frequente par des touristes et des locaux et on peut gouter pas mal de patisseries typiques portugaises. En plus, le chocolat chaud est délicieux !!

Le lieu est charmant bien qu'exigu. Si vous cherchez l'ombre, la terrasse est ombragée. Le service n'est pas des plus rapides en cas d'affluence. je conseille alors d'aller directement au comptoir. Le petit-déjeuner, sans être fantastique était plus que correct.
