Parreirinha de Alfama is one of the great survivors of the 1940s. The establishment is run by fadista Argentina Santos, and if you're really lucky, she may give up her stove for a few minutes to sing along with a line-up of local fadists. The fado is excellent, the food(arroz de peixe, cabrito assado) much less so and the bill a little excessive. Intimate atmosphere. We're talking about it, but it certainly won't be your first choice... Go for a drink instead.
