In front of the Assembly of the Republic, one believes first of all that the place is closed or that the address is wrong! Nay, you have to ring the bell before you can enter this sort of private club with its muffled lighting and the intense allure of an old Lisbon café. Vegetarians are not recommended, as the menu only includes one unique and unchanging speciality: beef bife à la portugaise, in the pure tradition of the 18th century! The piece of meat is grilled before being bathed in a sauce made with lots of butter and fresh cream!

J’adore cet endroit d’une perfection absolue. La viande est exquise, la sauce exceptionnelle, le cadre rétro ajoute une ambiance unique... pourvu que cela continue longtemps pour y revenir souvent...

Personnel très professionnel et sympa. Leur agréable accueil nous a bien plu. Nous nous sommes sentis très bien dans ce resto à Lisbonne.
