Close to the Santa Apolónia train station, this 1904 establishment has retained its original "Casa de pasto" decor: marble, wood panelling and period ceramic floors. A warm atmosphere in which to enjoy southern Portuguese cuisine prepared with fresh produce from local producers. Petiscos to share and typical dishes will delight your taste buds: skate with garlic(raie de alhada), horse mackerel tartar with almonds and figs or oxtail cozido with chickpeas. A good address with attentive service.

An Italian restaurant and grocery store that stands out for the authenticity of its Italian cuisine. Its chef, Tanka, attended one of Italy's top culinary schools, Gambero Rosso, and offers traditional yet innovative cuisine using fresh, quality produce. Enhanced with delicious sauces, they exude exquisite flavors - a true culinary voyage! Meats, fresh pasta of the day, burrata... are served with refinement. Selection of Italian wines, lovely terrace and attentive service. Well worth a visit, but reservations are recommended.

Located not far from the Belém Cultural Centre, this is an address to discover Portuguese gastronomy. In the entrance, a wine cellar with a good selection of bottles to taste at table or to take away. Then there are comfortable and bright spaces: two rooms and two terraces, one of which is covered. Here, we serve fresh, quality products with a careful presentation. Traditional recipes are the basis, you can stick to the starters with a large choice of petiscos, or choose a fish or a meat. A good meal in a warm local atmosphere.

This is the restaurant of the Internacional Design Hotel. In a modern setting, the "Bâtard", now known as the fish bar , offers a menu dedicated to seafood. An exceptional location for an ambitious cuisine under the leadership of chef Renato Bonfim (advised by Aimé Barroyer, former Tavares chef who also worked at the Tour d'Argent, the Ritz, Paul Bocuse, etc.). The decoration is also very original and colorful, with a beautiful view on the square and a small interior garden to recharge your batteries. Not to be missed!

In a tropical setting, you will taste a lusitanienne gastronomy under traditional influence with a good touch of innovation (crustaceans of crustaceans, carril of gambas, pheasant, nachos cod…). The tables for gourmets, elegantly prepared for more than 30 years, are surrounded by a garden patio adorned with a beautiful palm tree and a fountain in azulejos, close to a parrot watching the...... The quality and the very pleasant reception confirm the first impressions.

In front of the Assembly of the Republic, one believes first of all that the place is closed or that the address is wrong! Nay, you have to ring the bell before you can enter this sort of private club with its muffled lighting and the intense allure of an old Lisbon café. Vegetarians are not recommended, as the menu only includes one unique and unchanging speciality: beef bife à la portugaise, in the pure tradition of the 18th century! The piece of meat is grilled before being bathed in a sauce made with lots of butter and fresh cream!

This restaurant, which moved in 2019 and has therefore revised its decoration and menu a little, is run by a young chef of Yugoslav origin in vogue. Ljubomir Stanisic, that's his name, is currently one of the most talented leaders in Lisbon. It invites you to a journey made up of small delicacies based on typical products, bought at Mercado da Ribeira. Fluid and impeccable service in sneakers, friendly wine list... Please note that the menu changes according to the seasons, i.e. every three months, which means as many trips to plan!

Ideally located in Parque Eduardo VII, Eleven proudly displays its place with panoramic views of the city and the Tagus. Inside, a chic atmosphere and a very bright contemporary decor. The map, developed by Chef Joachim Koerper (a Michelin star), perpetuates tradition with high quality local products, including fish, while providing a touch of singular creativity. The choice of very varied wines is perfectly suited to the finesse of the dishes. It is a splendid place to enjoy a gourmet map on the edge of the capital.

A successful gamble for top chef Vitor Sobral and his creative concept of auteur cuisine in a Portuguese-style tavern reinterpreted with a contemporary sauce. In a friendly bistro, welcoming a heterogeneous gourmet clientele, the little Tasca presents smart menus from 4 to 7 miniatures (not so mini!): samossas, cold or hot soups, cheeses, cold meats and canned goods, cooked shellfish... In short, the relaxed atmosphere at the table serves a good selection of local products. Not to be missed.

In Portugal, you have to taste at least once a cod dish, and there is something for everyone. Since 1976, this has been the only restaurant in Lisbon that offers a wide choice of dishes containing cod! No less than 10 preparations are offered here: baked cod, grilled, cooked with water, cod dish with cream, eggs, with cabbages or bread... There are two other specialities of this restaurant that will delight your taste buds with exotic flavours of Mozambique: the chicken with curry and large shrimps. If you are not satisfied with these dishes, you can feast on a traditional steak or a vegetarian dish. The wine list is also rich in nectars. All in a warm and quiet atmosphere, at any hour of the day. A quality restaurant that you should visit for an immersion in Portuguese traditional cuisine.

One of our favorites for dinner. A warm and lively atmosphere in a renovated traditional tavern setting. Let yourself be guided by the advice of the servers, you will not be disappointed. The menu changes regularly but you will find local specialities. With fresh products, a very good combination of original and varied flavours in a set of typically Portuguese market preparations bound: ovos mexidos com alheira (scrambled eggs with sausage)... A word of advice: book because it always displays full.

Between Martim Moniz and Largo da Graça, a little gem where the expression "eating with your eyes" is more than appropriate. Baked or grilled specialties and typical Portuguese or even international dishes will fill the plates of languorous tête-à-tête. On the à la carte menu, discover cod combined with chestnuts for an astonishing dance of flavors. For dessert, treat yourself to a São Tomé chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream. The decoration was redone in 2023, and it's a real success.

On the passage ofelectrico No. 28 between Sé and Santa Luzia. Depending on the weather and availability, settle down on the terrace (nice!) or in a beautiful living room with exposed stones, wood and metals with very intimate lighting. Creative preparations are offered, as well as a good selection of wines. Varied starters and salads, tasty main courses: meat, fish, pasta? Among the specialities, home-made cod. To finish off, a good dessert or an ice cream (wide variety of flavours). An address for a good meal or a mid-afternoon snack.

Housed in a two-storey Art Deco building, the space boasts a certain class with its window displays, revamped by Lisbon fashion and design stars. The brand is inseparable from its chef, Ljubomir Stanisic. Le Bistro offers petiscos from around the world and a seasonal menu inspired by Portuguese, French and even Slavic cuisine. After (or before) a visit to the cocktail bar, the dishes on offer will awaken your senses. Also worth discovering: the private Hendriks room, entirely decorated by Mário Belém and Filipe Pinto Soares.

A huge wrought-iron room, a modern design, large chandeliers decorated with cutlery and glass bottles, and an open kitchen from which you can watch the cooks at work. For lunch, we recommend the excellent veal burger with homemade ketchup. Large banquet-style tables, and a more intimate area. This former industrial building has retained some of its spirit, all in a very contemporary, bohemian decor. A different concept, isn't it? Creative cuisine based on quality Portuguese products.

As Velhas means "the old ones" in Portuguese. In this establishment, the decor consists mainly of paintings and statues of elderly people (famous or not). As for the name, it comes from the two women who used to do the cooking. In a delicate setting under a beamed ceiling, you can feel that the dishes are prepared with care: cataplana de peixe, bacalhau no forno à minhota and rojões à transmontana and then a few delicacies to finish off. A must for all gourmets.

At the foot of the castle, the place is cute, all along, with exposed stones. Guida and Stéphane's welcome is very friendly and warm. We eat typical Portuguese dishes, monkfish with a shrimp sauce for example, and good starters such as homemade sardine pate. As a decoration, jewellery, paintings, etc. are on display. A restaurant where you feel good, perfect for a dinner for two or just for a quiet dinner. Avoid coming unexpectedly if you want to be sure you have a place.

On the largo de Santos, two large vaulted rooms, decorated with brick, as if this restaurant had been carved in stone. A traditional Portuguese cuisine, good simple dishes combining flavours and freshness. Some specialities like " Rissóis de mariscos" (seafood fritters) and Portuguese style pork liver with onion sauce. The prices are very affordable and the large terrace is very pleasant when the sun is shining. A restaurant well frequented by Lisboners, often full in the evening...
