It is said to be a meeting place for artists and journalists, but also for many people from the neighbourhood. Founded in 1899, here is one that has not succumbed to the fever of modernity of the district, keeping a traditional atmosphere in a classic room with white walls and high baseboards of azulejos. A menu that includes all the typical fish or meat dishes such as grilled sea bream, tuna steak or pork secrets. The portions are generous, so there is not always enough room to taste the excellent desserts.

Ce restaurant est bien situé en centre-ville, dans le Bairro Alto. Le serveur est très sympathique et parle très bien le français. Beaucoup d’humour et les plats sont expliqués en français ce qui simplifie le choix. C’était l’anniversaire de mon conjoint et le dessert a été servi avec une bougie ce qui était sympathique. Très bon restaurant ; nous y avons mangé un midi de fin octobre, ce n'était pas le foule, accueil cordial par un serveur qui parlait français, morue excellente, épaisse et bien dessalée , beignets de morue très bons, lapin également ; les plats sont copieux et plutôt abordables mais les vins au verre et le porto sont un peu chers (de bonne qualité toutefois)
