An educational touring exhibition dedicated to the human body, German anatomist Gunther von Hagens

Originally launched in 1995, these were traveling educational exhibitions dedicated to the human body. The first was held in Tokyo. At the genesis of the project was German anatomist Gunther von Hagens, inventor 20 years earlier of the plastination technique: a process for preserving the human body for medical teaching and research. Surrounded by a sulphurous atmosphere, the project had the health purpose of improving our knowledge of our bodies. In Amsterdam with its renowned museums, Body Worlds is not a must-see, but it can be visited in about 1 hour.

In the city center of the Dutch capital you will find the BODY WORLDS Amsterdam museum. This must-see exhibition, created by Dr. Gunther von Hagens, about the human body is not only fun but also educational. You will take a fascinating journey through the human body. The current theme in Amsterdam is The Happiness Project and focuses on the effects of happiness on our well-being. This exhibit has more than 200 real human bodies on display, which will show you how our mood can affect our health and vice versa.

The museum aims to educate a wide audience about the different aspects of the human body by sharing its knowledge with everyone and to spark curiosity about anatomy and physiology! Your ticket will include a free InBody Scan, which will tell you if your own body is in balance and healthy.

Musée du corps humain

Il est toujours impressionnant de visiter des musées qui nous montrent de très près les parties du corps humains. Les présentations sont détaillées mais il manque selon moi une pointe de ludique, notamment pour les enfants.
