Historically, this was the brewery of the Heineken company, and remained so until 1988. In 1991, part of the building was preserved as a reception area and museum. Opened in 2022, it is housed in a superbly renovated zoo building, the historic headquarters of the Artis members' society until 1947. Groote takes us on a superb quest through life, design and the senses (superb olfactory tunnel) in a quest for a link with nature.
